Friday’s Dessert w/ Alcohol: Cotton Candy Martini – Cotton Candy Cosmo Recipe

So I came across this recipe tonight for alcohol infused cotton candy – awesome! It’s incredibly easy to make too (which always inspires me way more than something that has too many things going on at once).  The main ingredients consist of well, cotton candy.  Oh yes and cotton candy vodka (didn’t even know THAT existed!), Cranberry juice and x-rated fusion liquor.  Check out this yummy adult beverage (er’ dessert) right here courtesy of The Cocktail Envy.  Enjoy yourselves and have a fantastic weekend (and if you are my friend Erin in Minnesota? Happy weekend y’all! How about some Apple Vodka infused into your cake ingredients! After researching many places and coming across many “alcohol in dessert recipes” I believe this is probably the one that I have really been excited about. Friday’s Dessert w/ Alcohol: Whiskey Cake in the Jar-O

What a great way to bring in the weekend and especially a St Patrick’s Day weekend! This is a fantastic dessert brought to you courtesy of Sprinkle Bakes and you can find the recipe right here.  According to the recipe, you can make it in 10 – 8 oz. or 12 oz. glass canning jars or a 10″ bundt pan, greased and lightly floured and after its out of the oven you can top it off with butter whiskey sauce.  Yummy!!!

It’s National Margarita Day!

What are you going to do to celebrate National Margarita day???  How about indulging in a margarita cupcake!  These are easy to make and one of my all time favorites from Betty Crocker’s recipe collection.  More Betty Crocker recipes can be found at http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes

Ingredients

 Pretzel Mixture

1 1/2      cups crushed pretzels

1/4         cup butter or margarine, melted

2            tablespoons sugar

 Cupcakes

1           Box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white cake mix

3/4        cup nonalcoholic margarita mix

1/3        cup vegetable oil

1/4        cup water

2           teaspoons grated lime peel

4           egg whites

 Topping

1 1/2     cups frozen (thawed) whipped topping

2           containers (6 oz each) Yoplait® Light Fat Free Key  

             lime yougurt

2           teaspoons grated lime peel

1/3        cup coarsely crushed pretzels

 Step 1

Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.

Step 2

In small bowl, mix pretzel mixture ingredients until blended. Spoon about 1 tablespoon mixture in each cup.

Step 3

In large bowl, beat cupcake ingredients with electric mixer on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Divide batter evenly among cups (two-thirds full).

Step 4

Bake 18 to 23 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to cooling rack. Cool completely.

Step 5

In medium bowl, fold whipped topping, yogurt and 2 teaspoons lime peel until blended; frost cupcakes. Sprinkle with coarsely crushed pretzels. Store loosely covered in refrigerator.

How about some Bailey’s Irish Cream in your cookie ingredients. Sounds like the perfect combination after a long week, yes?  This cookie has all of the things ingredients that I love the most for a fine dessert…chocolate…Bailey’s Irish Cream…oh its almost heavenly haha!
