Did you know that January is National Oatmeal Month? Not only is oatmeal incredibly delicious but it’s also very healthy! To be honest, on occasion I have not eaten it very healthily and when I am in need of comfort food, I enjoy putting loads of butter and clumps of brown sugar in my oatmeal. Most of the time I indulge in the healthy versions 🙂
After a long day at work and in need of comfort food, there is nothing better than fresh out of the oven oatmeal raisin cookies. The moist oatmeal, raisins and a hint of cinnamon make this all time favorite deeeeelicious! My favorite recipe is the traditional Quaker Oats Vanishing Oatmeal Raisin Cookies recipe – the “vanishing” in the name fits perfectly because ya can’t help but to eat more than one.
